本课是PEP四年级上册第六单元中的Part A Let's talk,主要教学内容是学习使用 How many ... are there? 句型来介绍自己的家庭并能询问别人的家庭情况。因此本节课的重点是运用本节课How many ... are there? 句型进行情景对话。 学情分析
学生经过三年级以及上个课时的学习,对家庭成员称呼大多数能做到用英语表达,对于句型“How many ... can you see? How many ... do you have?掌握较好,为本课时的教学重、难点的引出与操练打下了基础。本班学生英语基础比较好,并且积极活跃、乐于学习、乐于合作,这些正是学习优势所在。
教学目标:
(一)知识目标:能听说、认读并能结合句子进行使用。能听懂、能用英语简单介绍自己的家庭。并能交换简单的家庭信息。
(二)技能目标:能用英语简单介绍自己的家庭,并能用其他词语替换练习。
(三)运用目标:熟练运用本单元功能句How many are there ?完成课堂调查任务,应聘小小普查员。
(四)情感目标:培养学生热爱家庭的思想感情,和合作学习的意识和习惯。 教学重点:
学生熟练把握How many are there 句型的用法.
教学难点:
My family has seven members.But that's only six.
教具准备:
教师准备与本课时相关的图片、课件和调查表。教师准备给学生作为奖励的聘书。学生准备各自的全家福照片。
教学过程:
一、Warm – up.
1. Let's sing
课前播放 “Meet my family”flash歌曲。
歌曲。.师生一起边唱边做动作。
2.Free talk
T:Good morning. Are you ready ? OK. Let’
s begin our class.If you do well,you can get a stick.
3.“Magic Eyes”
T:Look at the family tree, say the words as quickly as you can.
Ss: father, mother, brother, sister, grandfather, grandmother, family.
【设计意图】:通过歌曲让学生快速地融入到学习英语的良好情境之中,复习旧知,激发了学生的学习兴趣。
Step 1.设置情景学习
How many people are there in your family?
My family has members.
1.(出示自己的全家福照片)
T: Look at this picture.This is a picture of my family.How many people are there in my family?
引导学生说:One, Two, Three. Three people
板书教读people .
学生跟说How many people?
T: Good! My family has 4 members.
板书教读members . My family has members. 接着提问“Who are they?” 并用
“They are my ....” 来介绍自己的家庭成员。(借助这一情景来学习“My family has ...”和“ Who are they?”为下面对话学习做铺垫。)
2.(出示小丸子的家庭照片)
T: How many people can you see?
(预设)Ss:six.
T: Yes! It has six members.
学生跟说:six members。
3. T:(过渡到学生实际)Xiao Wanzi’s family has members. My family has members. Can you tell me how about your family?
Ss: Yes.
教师点击课件,出现本班同学的照片。
T:Who is she/he?
Ss:
T:Yes,sb’s family.
T接着问:How many people are there in your family?
出现谁的谁起来说:My family has members.
板书并分三部分部分教读全句:How many people——are there——in your family? 练习3-5组。
4.T: Practice with your partner:One ask and, the other answer.
学生出示自己的全家福,小组练习:
How many people are there in your family?My family has...members.
【设计意图】:这种形式比较调动学生的兴趣,由于运用的学生的照片,学生更乐于参加。通过练习,让学生能够用这一句子表述自己家庭的人数。 Step 2:Teaching
2011年,全国开始第六届人口普查,我们学校也想利用这次机会调查每个学生家庭中的人数,特聘请小小普查员(出示聘书)。
T:As an investigator, we should know how to ask?.
【设计意图】:创设真实的语境,使学生认识到所学句型的实用性,带着任务去使用英语。
1、播放课件,初步理解课文内容。
T: How to ask? Let’s watch the video about Chen Jie and Amy.
Ss:Ok.
T: How does Chen Jie ask Amy?
Ss: How many people are there in you family?
Teacher writes the sentence on the board.
The students read the sentence one by one.
2、听录音,感悟短文。
T:How many people are there in Amy's family?
How many people are there in ChenJie's family?
Let’s listen again then circle the answers.
Ss listen.
T:Let's check the answers together.
1)课件出示 ChenJie's family
T:How many people are there in ChenJie's family?
Ss:Three members.
T:Who are they?
学生回答。
课件出示:Who are they?学生跟读。
2) 课件出示Amy's ’s family.
T: Amy’s family has six members. Yes or no.
Ss: No.
T: No? Let's count. This is a photo of Amy's family. Who are they? Ss: Dad, mom, brother, sister, baby brother, Amy.
T:But that’s only six. (PPT出示此句子)Only means只,仅仅
开火车读only。
Ss: 还有小狗。
T: Yes. They have a little puppy. (弹出小狗的图片)A very small dog. (文化的渗透,中国人不把动物作为家人,西方人把动物也作为自己的家人)
