Abstract：ThepyrolysisprocessinN2ofthedicyclopentadiene（DCPD）/styrene（St）copolymerwasinvestigatedbydifferentialscanningcalorimetry（DSC）andthermogravimetry（TGA），andthekineticsparametersofpyrolyticreactionwerecalculatedbyFriedmanmethod（differentheatingspeedmethod）andKissingermethod（substituteofhigh-resolutionmethod）.TheusefultimeoftheDCPD/Stcopolymerwasforecastedbasedonthedynamicsresearch.TheresultsshowedthatthepyrolyticreactionprocessoftheDCPD/Stcopolymercouldbedividedintothreestages:prophasestage（masslossrate≤20%），metaphasestage（masslossratebetween30%and80%）andanaphasestage（masslossrate≥90%）.Theprophaseormetaphasereactioncouldthinkfirstorderreaction，theaverageactivationenergyofmetaphasereactionwas150.43kJ/mol.Thetemperatureofpyrolysiswasincreasedwithincreasingheatingspeed，andtheactivationenergyofpyrolysisreactionwasincreasedwithincreasingmasslossrate.TheDCPD/Stcopolymerhadwellthermalstabilitywhenthetemperaturewasunder200℃.
