短对话答题技巧(6)

对英语四级很有帮助。

Q: What does the woman imply?

A) She has to study for the exam. B) She is particularly interested in plays.

C) She is eager to watch the new play. D) She can lend her notes to the man.

此题选A)。关键信息词是"but", woman 说"sounds great"是肯定对方的观点,给人以她同意man的提议的假象,但实际上"but"之后的内容才是说话人的真实打算。故选A)。

陷阱2：时间倒置,扰乱思维。

特征:标志性词"before"或"after"等。一般speaker会说一大串所干的事情,但是不按照先后的顺序,以扰乱考生的思维。例如:

M: Can you stop by the post office and get me some envelopes and 39 cents stamps?

W: Well, I am not going to stop by the post office, but I can buy you some at the bookstore after I see the dentist on Market Street.

Q: Where will the woman go first?

A) To the dentist’s. B) To the market. C) To the post office. D) To the bookstore. 此题选A)。woman说她先看牙医,然后说可以在书店给man买信封和邮票。所以,woman 先去的地方是"after"后的内容。故选A)。

陷阱3：选项信息杂糅,模棱两可。

这类题最麻痹人,命题人只要稍微将对话中的主语、地点状语和谓语动词换个位置,就得出了三个看似正确的选项。考生倘若做题时没注意此陷阱,就很可能失分。例如:

W: Are you still teaching at the junior high school?

M: Not since June. My brother and I opened a restaurant as soon as he got out of the army. Q: What do we learn about the man from the conversation?

A) He quit teaching in June. B) He has left the army recently.

C) He opened a restaurant near the school. D) He has taken over his brother’s business 此题选A)。woman 问man是否还在教书,man 回答六月份后就没教了。选项B)错在"he",而应该是"his brother"；选项C)错在状语"near the school"。所以大家在听时,切记不要过分注重听单词,而应重点把握对话的含义。

陷阱4：看似答非所问,实则暗藏"玄机"。

这类对话,对话中的回答可能仅是一句疑问句或陈述句,但却多表示对对方所做事的否定与责备。考生只要注意到speaker的语气,结合语境,也就不难答对题。例如:

W: My headache is killing me. I thought it was going away, but now it’s getting worse and worse. M: I told you yesterday to make an appointment.

Q: What does the man mean?

A) The woman has been complaining too much.

B) The woman’s headache will go away by itself.

C) The woman should have seen the doctor earlier.

D) The woman should confirm her appointment with the doctor.

此题选C)。对话中,woman 的感冒越来越严重, man说"I told you ...",显然带着责备。因此选

C),其中的should have done表示"本应该 "。
