有关英语修辞文体的论文

From the above analysis, we can clearly grasp that the whole ad contains numerous characters of advertising English, among which are the use of graphological contrast, conspicuous use of illustrations and the full stop at the graphollogical level; wide use of affirmative adjectives, personal pronouns, comparative expression and some technical forms at the lexical level; minor sentences, simple present sense, active voice, imperative sentences and some negative words at the syntactic level; rhetorical devices about hyperbole, repetition and alliteration at the semantic level. Advertising English is a newly developing text type with the economic prosperity and technological combination. So the stylistic analysis of the prevailing ad gives us a chance to be exploded to the ad itself and then clearly grasp the persuasive and informative purpose it brings. Take the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair cosmetic as an example, the four distinctive features of ad English is throughout the whole text. However, the analysis of this sample still has some limits. After this analysis, a basic knowledge of ad English has already been formed in the mind, which would definitely inspire me to explore more in detail. This kind of stylistic analysis also helps the advertiser make commercial success and then prompt the development of the advertising industry.
