1.Scope
1.1Thisspeci cationprovidesrequirementsformaterials, nishandmarking,careandhandling,andtheacceptabledimensionsandtolerancesformetallicbonescrewsthatareimplantedintobone.Thedimensionsandtolerancesinthisspeci cationareapplicableonlytometallicbonescrewsdescribedinthisspeci cation.
1.2Thisspeci cationprovidesperformanceconsiderationsandstandardtestmethodsformeasuringmechanicalpropertiesintorsionofmetallicbonescrewsthatareimplantedintobone.Thesetestmethodsmayalsobeapplicabletootherscrewsbesidesthosewhosedimensionsandtolerancesarespeci edhere.Thefollowingannexesareincluded:
