Basketball Average Attendance

The line graph illustrates the trend in the number of average attendance of Dallas Mavericks and National Basketball Association as a whole from season 1996-1997 to season 2000-2001 respectively.

As is shown in the graph, the average number of attendance of Dallas Mavericks was about 16,000 in season 1996-1997. And the figure dropped dramatically to the bottom ____________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________in the following season. However, the number of average attendance of the team had been recovering since then, ______________________________________________________________during the following 3 seasons. Although the number of average attendance of Dallas Mavericks reached its peak in season 2000-2001, compared with the same figure of NBA average, _______________________________________________, it was clear that Dallas Mavericks’ average number of attendance was much lower than the average figure of the whole league as it had never exceeded the latter.

One thing we still need to point out is that the gap had been narrowing because the figure in season 2000-2001 of Dallas Mavericks (16,600) almost reached the NBA average.
