You w ill deal w ith many personalities in any job. If the inter v iew ers know the people y ou'll be w orking w ith, they might hav e a personality in mind! It's ha rd for y ou to know this how ev er so stick to a safe answ er. You might say:
"I find I w ork w ell w ith almost ev er y one but w ho I w ork best w ith might depend on the activ ity. If it's a project, I prefer to w ork w ith someone w ho's practical and orga nized because this is impo rtant. If it's leading a discussion, w orking w ith someone w ho's a g ood facilitator helps."
* H ow would you go about establishing your credibility quickly within the team?
Gaining credibility quickly is important. Make sure y ou listen, learn, question, understand. You might say: "That's a good qu estion and I realize it's importa nt to gain credibility quickly. I believe the best w ay is to show your colleagues that y ou respect their e xperie nce and w ant to learn from them as w ell as about them. You need to listen, ask the right questions and make sure y ou understand. If t hey can see y ou'll fit in early on, it helps".
* T ell me about a time wher e you had to deal with conflict on the job.
This is a behav ioural interv iew question. If y ou can't think of an example, it's ok to say so. If that's the case, either say how you w ould deal w ith it, or use an example w here someone y ou know dealt w ith conflict w ell.
